Continuing Business

Treasurer’s Report:  The treasurer presented an updated budget report through the month of June.  After some discussion Ray Walsh proposed that the budget be accepted as is.  This motion was seconded by Doug Steinberg and it was passed unanimously.

Architectural Review Committee:  A request by a homeowner and contractor to consider roofing material from an alternate manufacturer was denied. 

New Business

A motion was made by Ray Walsh to authorize a discussion with an attorney specializing in the VPOAA to review the changes implemented in HB 516 passed in July, 2008; the context will be the effect these changes have on our association.

Tim Dineen seconded the motion and the Board unanimously approved a maximum of $500 be spent on this matter.

A motion was made by Ray Walsh to obtain bids on removal of dead trees on the median, with a cost not to exceed $2,000.

Doug Steinberg seconded the motion and the Board approved unanimously.

A motion was made by Ray Walsh to have electrical outlets and ground fault interrupters installed for the holiday lights at the front entrance, with a cost not to exceed $750.

Doug Steinberg seconded the motion and the Board approved unanimously. 

The issue of forming the nominating committee for Board openings in 2010 was considered.  Ray Walsh proposed that the  Board members present serve as the nominating committee.

  Tim Dineen seconded the motion and it was passed unanimously.
